said but not meant. #mobile in #crystal #motion
During the last 10 days I have been working on different ways of using space, frames and all sorts of material like paper, tracing paper, petals, newspaper and painted objects.
Today I made a little mobile based on one of my favourite quotes by Khalil Gibran saying “Between what is said and not meant and meant and not said most of love is lost.”
It’s been a long time but I finally got around to do some art! Forgot how good it feels to get something done!
"Between what is said and not meant, and what is meant and not said, most of love is lost."

This is my final piece for the unit’s subject of distance. With this video I tried to illustrate 3 aspects of DISTANCE: 1. The wish to go somewhere, the look into the distance through binoculars, 2. The bridging of a distance, the connection of two places by lines of thread and 3. The arrival which lies most often not in the place itself, but in a feeling - the feeling of happiness, comfort, belonging and being at home expressed through two hands finding and being with one another.
(Music: “So Long, Lonesome” by Explosions In The Sky)
you’re always sort of feeling your way.
